So far the top ones in my opinion are "Databank" and "Girl O' My Dreams" (which Levi might have helped butcher, in fact he might have been wearing the butcher hat). The reason? Both of those were beloved repeat-played bootleg tracks... and then both caused an eager smile to turn upside down upon first listen of the official releases.

There's got to be more like these. I understand the hate for "Extraloveable" because that was drastically changed. In that case though, personally, I never cared for the original (I'd always skip it on the bootleg CD I originally had it on... was it "Cookie Jar"?) and actually like the reworked version.

I also prefer both the techno remix and the sleigh-bell-macho remix of "Come" to the original real instrument funk mix.

Many of tracks changed with slight retinkering, or one added instrument line that causes dismay, but they weren't all the way "butchered"... perhaps they were slightly overcooked.

Butcher: to make a mess of; botch; ruin

I know many fanatics like the original mix of "The Exodus has Begun" over the released mix. But that fits into the slightly overcooked category.
