What do you criticize/hate Prince most 4?

What do you accuse him of?

Prince has the craziest fans, some of them take him for their own musical butler.

The only real thing I criticize Prince for is not having his videos/live performance available on the internet (via youtube) for fans (& and just casual listeners interested) to view. And not remastering the 80's albums yet (which is hopefully what is happening soon)

Other than that nothing really.

I personally think it's weird for him to try to stay a teenager yet when he is close to 60. His music sounds much more mature when he is producing and arranging for Andy Allo and Liv Warfield. But when he is making the music for himself, it sounds more like something that would fit New Girl. Not always, but often. There's so many that knows how to grow with their own time as well as the time they're in. Kate Bush, David Bowie, Salomon Bourke... even Tom Jones. Tom Jones sounds better now than he did when he was young. He has matured, and actually cares about the music and message these days. Prince has all the talent in this world. If he did the vocals on Liv Warfields album and changed the lyrics a bit to fit him, he woulda had great album. Same with Andy Allo.

Being a hypocrite in regards to sex and sexuality. He became famous off his attitude to sex and writing sexually explicit lyrics and becoming a bit of a sex symbol himself, along with helping the listener to be comfortable in their own skin. He also liked to swear and loved talking about fucking and rooting in his songs with no inhibitions at all until the mid to late 90s. Plus he made all this aural pornography clever with well crafted pop, rock and dance songs and spread this liberated sexual attitude to his proteges.

Now with all this Jehovahs Witness crap he enmeshed himself in, he has totally repudiated and renounced this whole ethos, and preaches about he is holier than thou and how swearing and sex outside marriage based procreation is a sin. To me that's HYPOCRISY.

However I can forgive him, due to his legacy and the fact he is still a funky MFer.

For turning his back on everything that made him the star that he became and for thinking that way too many of his fans are just too damn stupid to see that what he's been peddling as of late, has more to do with fund raising than it does with music.

He seemed to have a more sophisticated taste in everything when he was under 30. I've always found that odd.
