Well, Stimpy!

In the Sign 'O The Times concert dvd during the end walk up, Is Prince playing chords in that walk up or is he doing single notes like the bass player?

LMAO, OK if we REALLY want to get technical, I believe there is a G played in between the E and the A, and then in between the A and the E. But only sometimes, not every time. IIRC, Prince plays:

E
G (on the very last beat of the measure, and he is basically strumming the open D-G-B strings, not the full G chord)
A
G (on the very last beat of the measure, and he is basically strumming the open D-G-B strings, not the full G chord)

Thanks Stimpy for the ending progression. I never got that far!

.

I am no guitar player, but have dabbled every now and then and learned a few chords from time to time. The Asus2 chord has several variations from what I have gathered online, so how does Prince play the Asus2 chord?

Hi Daf, great site, BTW.

you are right about his sus2 fingering.

His Maj 9 is also pretty similar using the open B in a 5th root Maj 7 shape
