At about 1:47 seconds in Prince sings "we must rewind" and then there's some backward sounding audio. Now I know that Prince has done some backward masking in the past so I was curious as to what he was saying during this part. I ran the audio through Audacity software and as it happens he ain't saying shit. I "think" I hear "answer to the truth" but it's probably not. My point is, mostly every time when I've heard Prince do backward masking on his songs I could reverse the audio to see what was being said. This time it seems to be just backward masking gibberish for backward masking gibberish sake. Yes, I have too much time on my hands. Your thoughts?

That's interesting. I think if you are going to have backward audio it should actually say something when played normally.

I Just had a play with it. The preceding lyric is, "If we want to find the answer to this cancer then we must rewind".

Then instead of reversing the whole segment I did it in parts. First part says, "Truth is the", then the next bit says, "answer".

JW's refer to their beliefs as the truth, so JW religion is the answer to the cancer?

Don't know what the cancer is as I haven't listened to the whole song properly yet, just twice. First was the wtf listen, second was the hmmm, not so terrible listen.

Also was playing more and I managed to get, "And I'm offended" but cannot recreate to explain where I found it. Weird.
