The original Rave Unto the Joy Fantastic Would Have Been Shit Based on all the track lists of various versions, I think the original Rave album would have been spotty. A few classics, but lots of sloppy shite. I'm glad he did Batman instead. "Drop that stereo before I blow your Goddamn nuts off, asshole!"

agreed. I looked at the track listing for the album and it seemed really weak and spotty. Batman was much better. If this album was released, it wouuld have been the end of his glorious "8 year" streak 1980-1988. a lot of fans think Batman served this purpose though too lol Maybe do, just not like did before

Was the song Big House meant for this album? I'd love to hear that full tune. ā€ˇhttps://www.youtube.com/@PurpleKnightsPodcast

I disagree. Batman was the first album I found disappointing. I think Rave would've been better, but this is all speculation of course.

I've seen a few different configurations of this album.....
27 October, 1988, configuration
27 November, 1988, configuration
Mid-January, 1989, configuration

I gotta agree, this doesn't seem like it would have been a strong album, regardless of which configuration was used.
