U Know Video Seeing that Prince has decided to film a video for FunknRoll instead of U Know, we can only dream of what could have been...
Day dreaming is sometime better than the real thing, so how do you imagine a video for U Know playing out?
I'm kind of picturing a Somebody's Somebody type theme but better. Let's say you were to put hidden cameras in a real club right...call it the U Know Movement. Prince pulls up with 3rdeyegirl in the limo. One of the 3rdeye girls walks up and ask can I borrow this, he rolls down the window slighty, and hands one of the girls a white record. Camera view of the record, hannah or one the girls walks it in, crowd still oblivious dancing to whatever they play in the club these days, hand it off to the next girl, so on. Finally hands it DJ Rashida, who whispers something into the DJs ear, he steps to the side, and she stops whatever is playing in its track. Puts on the U Know track and then....Hidden cameras catches the audience response.
Do this for 5 or 10 of the hottest clubs in nation, maybe the world. Real responses, form real people, reacting in a real environment to a really kick ass song. I'm assuming the club goes bat shit wildt. Then at the end somebody hands the record back to Prince this time, he's on a plane (g-5 or something), only time we see Prince in the video. And he says, "Well?" And the person, one of the 3rdeyegirls responds shrugging her shoulders, "U Know?" Fade to black and you here Prince saying with a chuckle..."that's what I thought!"

Why? Save the money or donate it. I mean what's the purpose? Tax deduction? Are they taking some of the costs out of the fired Warner Bros execs last paychecks? | |

May be too soon to jump to conclusions....
As noted in another post, the "FunknRoll" video may just be for the 3rdeyegirl album.....It seems like P and WB is treating each album as two different projects....I'm sure the "P" single will be released and a clip shot considering that all of the hype has been attached to that project.... No jokes or put downs....But u do know that those Warner Bros. firings have nothing to do with their music department, right? This is a movie studio thing (http://deadline.com/2014/09/warner-bros-layoffs-kevin-tsujihara-fox-829529/#)...After their failed bid to buy Fox studios they were forced to restructure....This has nothing to do with them signing Prince to a contract or any such nonsense....lol

Warner Music Group and Time Warner are 2 completely separate companies and have nothing to do with each other since 2003. Time Warner is where the jobs are being cut. | |
