Just how much of the production/arrangement of Fallinlove2nite is Prince's?

When I first heard Fallinlove2nite, I was amazed at how well it was produced; somehow, Prince seemed to have produced a genuine "hit"... I was somewhat disappointed to find out Prince had not produced this at all, but instead, Joshua Welton had... Does anyone know just how much of the production/arrangement is actually Prince's on this one..?

And on a sidenote: does anyone know why he didn't include Rock n Roll Love Affair on his upcoming album..?? Such a shame imo...

Rock n Roll Love Affair isnt a new track, its from 2012 so dont think it would have fit in with the new album, and I think it was released as a stand alone one off track through Swiss label Purple music, the same with Fallinlove2nite a stand alone track through Epic Records so wont feature on the album. smile

"The Most Beautiful Girl In The World" was a single on the Bellmark label, long before "The Gold Experience" was released on WB

And i wonder if that is why it's a different arrangement on album? i prefer the single version myself

Yep, that's exactly why. A different version/mix/arrangement can be counted as a different piece of work and thus not subject to the contractual agreements of another version. That's why you'll often find artists re-recording their hits at another stage of their career.
