Have you re-downloaded the digital single of 'Breakdown'? I don't know about the rest, but to my ears it does sound clearer. Haven't thoroughly tested on decent spearks though.
Us fans own 'everything' already, but I still think it's nice for casual music lovers to be able to have Breakdown, BCW, PBL and FixUrLifeUp in their possession.
Of all the songs that we know so far, I like Breakfast Can Wait the least; I would much rather have had Groovy Potential, Same Page, Different Book, Da Bourgeoisie, or even Boyfriend on there. But then again, we already have those songs, and maybe it's a nice change that some of his newer songs can do go down in history again as hidden gems, obscurities, b-sides, or whatever.
Been listening to Clouds the past couple of days, back to back with Breakdown, and I can honestly say that I'm quite fond of them. I'm really beginning to look forward to 30 September!

FANASTIC! Awesome Prince that you bring out 2 albums! Looking forward. I do like the artwork of both covers.
- Prince is printed or displayed on Hannah Ford's shirt, nice.
- You guys all know that the Bonnaroo Festival is also spelled with 'a 3rd eye'?
[img:$uid]http://i5.photo.../img:$uid]
- ...and the Art Official Age site, it shows in negative Prince's normal skin teint:

- why the zero and ones, the digits, in the background? - am I the only one that sees more than just his eyes in the reflection of his glasses?

This is pure hate...lol
Like no redeeming criticism or dissections....Sounds like it's coming from somewhere else...
But hey...this is the Org...

^^^^These processed/digitally manipulated versions of the cover are a vast improvement over the actual cover. The posing in front of Purple Rain plaques is tacky AF and has got to GO! "That's when stars collide. When there's space for what u want, and ur heart is open wide."

But hey...this is the Org... No this is not just my opinion but in fact what will happen. What we have listened to so far my have fans here, but is just pretty abysmal. I won't sugarcoat that. If I felt otherwise, even i didn't like the music, I would say so,.but there is no commercial potential whatsoever. It's clearly obvious. On the artistic value, well that's up to each individual, but the craftsmanship of the work is equally abysmal and amatuerish.

It's quite foolish to think that these two new albums will have even the silghtest effect on someone's job. Record labels are doing down, and jobs are slowly vanishing. These new albums are for the diehards only.
The only Prince effect on anyone's job would be the remasters. Both Prince and WB have unrealistic overblown expectations of the market for these. Had it been done the right way, and between 1997-2002, a lot of the diehard fans willing to purhcase the same music multiple times, and in multiple formats were still fairly young and still spending money on music.
By 2015 or late 2014 at the earliest, many of the biggest fans are at least 40, and some even over 60, and I doubt enough under 40 people are going to do more than maybe buy a decent Purple Rain Super Deluxe...
I'm still hopeful I'm wrong, and we will have 300,000 rushing to Best Buy to buy a "Symbol Album" remaster, but being realistic, PR, 1999, and maybe DAP could make a real profit.

^ Anyone involved in such a folly in ANY business puts themselves in a bind Lol. Unless they already figured the loses from the outset and calculated it as part of the deal. (which is a possibility) Because no one could possibly be so delusional to think there is any potential here. Especially someone in the business. The half dozen or so people here who love ANYTHING he releases do not a market make.

amen.
Now it's "WHY ISN'T THE PURPLE RAIN 30TH ANNIVERSARY OUT! WHAT'S WRONG WITH HIM?!?!"
It's probably going to come out during the holidays. smart move, more sales, good for WB.
let's all enjoy the experience.

Nah...I'm just laughing at your posts...They are pretty ridiculous....But it just shows you just how absurd the Org has gotten when fans are now reduced to playing the role of bean counters for a corporation that will not sink or swim because of what an aging music icon will do on record...
When did music fans start caring about the bottom line for a record company...? How does Warner Bros. business decisions affect any of us on this site? Is this where we are at now on the Org? We've now gone from saying Prince is going to make a shit album (which as a debate is a lot more reasonable because that's all just an opinion) to acting like we have a stake in Warner Bros. Records stock?
Good God...lol...The Org is completely fucked....

Good God...lol...The Org is completely fucked.... Glad I made you laugh. Nothing wrong with that. laughter is the best medicine. Just my thoughts, and I am sure turn out pretty accurate. Don't like them, that's fine. It seems you are more upset at negative comments, as no one should express what they see as obvious. I call them as I see them [Edited 8/28/14 8:52am]

Great news! It's been a long wait.
Anybody frequenting this site that is not excited about 2 new Prince albums dropping on the same day has little productive reason to be here.

Nah...my laughter is more in the realm of absurdity than anything else. If I was a asshole I would just label your posts as idiotic...But I'm not rolling like that. This is a free country and all. So get your wacky, jump-the-shark posting on....
I mean, really, when fans start going for the low hanging fruit and start questioning a record labels reasoning for releasing new music from one of that said label's most important acts historically (given that part of the deal is linked to the artist's past catalogue), then this place has totally crapped out...lol
I'll let u cook, homie....

Hey...what can I say? U r a ridiculously easy target...lol
The irony is, you still don't get it....My posts have nothing to do with how an aging artist nearing 60 years old is going to do record sales wise...In fact, there's a new piece written by Billboard discussing the fact that record sales are now at aan all-time "record low"...(link: http://www.billboard.com/...-a-new-low) Meaning that the business of selling albums is quite antiquated and more of a gamble than it has been in decades...
No...my issue with your posts is that I can't tell where u r coming from. Are u just trolling Prince fans on a Prince site? Are you a young kid who doesn't understand the realities of the record biz in 2014? Are u clueless to the fact that Warner Bros. basically made the deal so they could have the rights to release Prince's '80s catalogue and would gladly take (what u believe will be) two tax write-offs for the chance to re-release Prince's greatest works with all the bells and whistles?
I ask these questions because I'm trying to understand the ham-fisted angle u r coming from....
Because as is, your posts on WB taking a loss on two Prince albums seems like it's coming from someone who is doing waaaaaay too much right now and doesn't want to admit just how weird and silly their entire premise is. WB is a corporation. They will not take an L on what two Prince albums will do in the market...They only care about P as a legacy act. If he gets some critical acclaim on either of those two albums, that's gravy...
But selling albums in 2014? Even today's acts are having trouble doing that.... [Edited 8/28/14 11:22am]

*I know u r but what am I?*
Hey...I just translated your post. This shit is too easy....
But on the real...we need more Prince fans like u...To remind us that we really don't know shit about the behind the scenes workings of the record business...
Continue your armchair record exec shit and predicting that a multi-billion dollar corporation will lose money on what an aging music icon will do in the marketplace...
See how ridiculous u sound?

^ yeah because you are a second rate music writer you know more, all the while confirming everything I've said. As if the geniuses who ran the music business to the ground know more. Business is business, regardless of goods or services. Maybe it has touched a nerve because you have personal connections to someone in the biz, but a bad product is a bad product, that's my take. Like when I first lay eyes on the Pontiac Aztek. Didn't take a genius to see it's fate, and sure Pontiac executives knew more about the auto business than did. lol Chill out dude, its not about you.

Looks like both releases, including Plectrum, are under Warners. Makes all that speculation about 'split between labels' seem kinda silly.
What's next? THE SONG TITLES ARE IN ALL CAPS WHICH MEANS EVERYTHING'S GONNA BE BRICKWALLED!!!! [Edited 8/28/14 13:45pm] [Edited 8/28/14 13:46pm]

It was foolish to suggest that Prince would never release any album ever again...it was wise to question him after over 16 months of listening parties...and it was very realistic to think that he may had soured on Plectrum, and would give Warners a different album instead...but we get both ...great!

I am excited and hope it will be a physical release too to keep the collection complete. Thank you Prince for every note you left behind 💜
