Great melodic work on this track. One of my all time faves even if it was a bootleg quality incomplete version.

Has catchy Beatlesque harmonies and cartoon classical sounding changes. Has a McCartney-esque melodic bass line.

It was bootlegged, if I recall. Don't remember the boot name. it wasn't complete, but what is there is really catchy. I like sparse songs..and indeed this one is sparse and quite Beatle-esque, and that's not a bad thing at all.

Well, I blame prince for that one...he's the one that said "Look to the ladder" when asked about his future after purple rain. I've always loved that cryptic side of him.

No problem. The part after the ohh,wee,ooh,wee section always eluded me. I'm still not sure that's what he says there, but it sounds about right and fits the song, so I'm sticking with it.

If I remember correctly, Prince had written lyrics for Traffic Jam but never got around to recording the vocals. Or was that for the instrumental version of Possessed? Anyway, it would be nice to have a clear sounding version of Strange Way and She's Just a Baby as well. [Edited 8/29/14 15:11pm]

Wow, maybe you did mean Traffic Jam! That's interesting to know if true. I wonder how lyrics would go with that since the song appears repetetive from what is known.

Possessed, however, does have lyrics and I like both versions, the one with lyrics and the one without (version heard in Purple Rain).

Huh...Traffic Jam with lyrics. I can't even begin to think how that would sound. Very interesting.
