He built it around the time that Around The World In A Day came out. Paisley print was a major theme throughout his CD and videos. just a guess

Smaller and far less well appointed -- yet rich on romance and ambience -- is Quivvy Church. Musician Brendan Perry of the band Dead Can Dance purchased the church (dated 1855) and converted it into a recording studio and live performance space in 1992.

I'm uncertain of the roster of artists who've recorded at Quivvy, but I know several Perry/DCD projects and a few film scores have come out of the place.

Perry also has opened the space for intimate concerts and music education workshops, and he resided there for a time.

I see. But why was the Paisley print a major theme?

I can understand that the current theme of third eye concords with his spiritual path.
