Did anyone see the image on 3EG's Twitter of the Plectum Electrum USB stick? The tag line had "Espy's" there. Does anyone know if these were passed out at the Espy awards?

It was a daft "Fan made" photoshop image, something they keep doing, tweeting fan things but taking out the fact it was originally tweeted to them.

3EG are not part of the Warner Brothers contract, although Prince is a Member a group can run as a seperate contract with another label, Prince is primarially signed as a solo artist to WB so they dont really need a loop hole to release the album if it is marketed as 3rd Eye Girl. (I guess unless WB want to maybe release it which I dont think they have much interest in as it isnt a Prince album)

My thinking is they are still part of Kobalt (they are still listed on the roster) and the album will come through them, in the Past they have delivered USB albums for a couple of artists. 3EG twitter posted an article on the Foo Fighters new album the other day which leads me to think with Foo's album coming through Kobalt that they are still apart of the label to promote it in that way?

Maybe Kobalt if its coming through them were waiting on WB relesing PR/New album to ride on the back of the promotion?

Or possible a joint deal between Kobalt/Warner is in the pipeline? Would make a bit of sense to have Warners Distribution power in there somewhere.

Who knows, I just hope we get to hear it at some point. I think the fact the album features tracks from Hannah/Josh and the others will have put WB off slightly signing it.

They should really stop going on about it though if they dont actually know its going to be coming soon. The only people they are pissing off is the fans with the constant overhype.

I think Prince tried to include PE in the contract with WB but they refused to release it no so he gaved them a solo album instead, without wb there would probably not be any "Prince" album this year, only the 3EG album

Yeah it seems he delayed the release from last year in light of the WB movement which didnt work out well for PE

With Prince coming across pretty pissed with Warner having to wait so long to get the Solo album out, It wouldnt surprise me if he pushes for PE to come out soon as, But there is obviously nothing set in stone with them messing around doing these listening parties trying to drum up interest and nothing to tell anyone.

not read all the posts - but is there a way of locking the files onto the uSB - so you can only play from the stick? this way Prince would control/contain the leaking aspect which i think is his main problem. althoug i'm sure there would be ways around this.
