Why would there be any whispers? Things take time, they are potentially looking at November for release, be patient, no one wants a half assed effort put out. Would make no sense what so ever releasing it now or soon anyway, November is a Key time for Christmas which will be what they are aiming for.

The PR remaster is the ONLY $ I will drop on anything Prince related, unless he comes with a new solo album. That Plectrum Electrum album is not on my radar. I really couldn't care less about it.

I just find it funny that of all Prince's 80s albums, Purple Rain is the one that needs the least remastering. It's clearly the "loudest" of them all...but the outtakes will be nice, in "pristine" form. Personally i just want ATWIAD, Parade and SOTT but from some of the comments on this thread, i think I'm getting my hopes up for nothing. We'll see...

I think they may do a Pre-order maybe a month or so out to Gauge demand maybe? Would make sense. Pre-order followed by a promo campaign. An award show live appearance with a medley of songs would be a great way to do this but there isnt anything of any significance In Oct/Nov, MTV awards end of August but seems too far out really to start promotion. I think we'll hear a little more around October time at a guess.

Spring ended TWO MONTHS ago. Throw in all the talk about a "huge 2013" and I think that pretty much sums up life as a Prince fan nowadays.

It will probably be released AFTER Christmas, and everyone will be scratching their heads and complaining that they are broke after the holidays.

You would be shooting yourself in the foot by releasing information at this very stage. Warners would be the biggest hyprocrites because they would be saturating the market. What with two albums a few weeks away and then bringing forth news of another album?

Take this particular timeframe into consideration. We found out oficially about the two albums at the end of August. Roughly one month before. Folks are saying the PR reissue will be in November, so it stems fair to hear something about this in mid to late October, after the release of the two new material albums.

Don't expect anything til at least mid October. If you hear something sooner then that's great, but don't count on it.

A new PR album would make a great stocking stuffer.

4 releases in one year? he's really shooting his load....

Exactly, what's the fuss? We have and love the album, we have the extended verions, remixes, b-sides, associated artists songs, live versions, boots. We can configure them to suit ourselves.

Plus I dont know what you were listening to your msuic on but I had the same issue until I went into my music library > edit > prferences > playback > tick the box that says 'sound check - automatically adjusts songs to play at same volume level' that stopped all the jolting when a new and louder song started.

is that for a mac?
