I saw im up close in '88. He wore tons of make up.

I don't mean he did wear tones of make up at times. Of course he did, there are pics of him with all kinds of colors on his face. And on stage he had to wear makeup.

I mean there are a good number of pics of him bare faced in 1988

Yup. But this wasn't on stage, although he looked as if he was wearing stage make up. It was at a record store where he was signing his latest album (Lovesexy). I remeber him wearing a bright yellow suit, with black letters down one arm (don't remember what it said. Lovesexy perhaps? Or Minneapolis?), a black shirt and black velvet (I think, felt like it) gloves. His hair was tied back with a black ribbon. I was surprised by his deap voice. I also remember thinking he had a big head and HUGE eyes

He's wearing a ton of slap in that photo. Look at his hairline - where he didn't blend his base. And the eyes - shadow, eyeliner, mascara. Nobody's lids look that dark at the edges unless they have on eyeliner and mascara.

I quoted the one on the left, so that's the one I was talking about. He is wearing make-up in both of these photos.

I can't see eye shadow on that one. I don't know I know people with some dark/think eyelashes that look darker than this. Yeah I know he's probably wearing makeup, just looking for some that aren't so obvious

When I saw O( > live @ The Country Club" surprise gig in 88 with a friend, O( > had no make up on. My friend even commented on it. So U right he wore very lil make up during that period.

I was out behind the Empire Ballroom gig in Vegas when he charged $312.10 per ticket.

he pulled up in a car with Tamar and went up the back stairs

he turned around to ask if he could take a picture of us (we all laughed) and then he did

he had no makeup on but nobody seemed to care

he seemed like just a normal dude but he did not look much like Prince

that's all I'm saying - don't want to be mean - lets' just say he looked way different
