Wouldn't have worked because Adore and Crucial are too similar in sound.

Personally I think this song is as strong as many of the songs recorded around the same time. For me everything recorded that I've heard from the 1985/1986 period that wasn't released at the time was worthy of release. All My Dreams is my favorite song ever by any artist and it stills remains unreleased. For Me Adonis and Bathsheba proves that the vault is full of many treasures.

Great line. You're right, Prince was definitely on to something.

The little clip we had before was already one of my favorites, and now hearing the full version I can't believe he chose to not release this. Wow! Anyone else would rush to add such an amazing song to their body of work. I would buy this again if he were to release it officially, as I have all of his official albums/videos/records/etc. Totally floored Prince, genius!

Sex World is a huge porn shop in downtown Minneapolis. Well, it was at the time. I'm not sure if it's still there.

I know some are comparing this to Crucial, Adore, etc., but "Adonis and Bathsheba" is truly just...different. I can't put my finger on it, but it's at once classic 1986 Prince, yet also sounds like nothing he's ever done. I mean that in a good way. Purple Badass is creating new genres and sh!t.

The horns and guitars on this song are gorgeous!!
