Anybody have any info on this? It wasn't something I was included in, but from a reliable source, it has leaked. Any info would be much appreciated.

It's out there, that I can attest to. Whether it's been "leaked" is another thing. Actually, I hope it has. It's a beautifyul song that should be listened to. I've said it before and i'll say it again, the previous snippet did not do the song justice and Susan Rogers was so wrong for criticizing this track. It's truly a beautiful thing to listen to.

Somewhat, but more pronounce.

For me, the song is a buildup to the 2nd half. The sung part happens in the first 3 minutes only. The second half is guitar and horns. It's a very beautiful arrangement in the vein of Crucial. You would like it. The song in total is 5:33.

Quite honestly, I can't say how easily it can be found. And that isn't me tryig to sound coy, either.

My understanding of the status of the song was that it was circulating among a very small group of hardcore collectors, but not among the general public on the internet (when you mentioned having heard it in one of the previous threads, 1nonly, I assumed you were one of the former) who only had the 1:30 snippet. So does this leak mean that the full one is now available to find on the web? Would have no idea where to look for it though, maybe in time it will work its way down to sources I'm familiar with. Hope I get to hear it soon, the snippet is very enticing!

I remember reading on a Velvet Underground fan forum about a member who had a friend who let him listen to an uncirculating live recording a long time ago, and I would imagine that such cases occur in various widespread fandoms, even if the exact specifics are different in your case.

I asked someone who would know. He says that it has been circulating in certain circles, but isn't aware that it's leaked to the general audience.

I will likely have an opportunity to listen to it, but so far, no opportunity to actually get the track. I was not aware it was even out there with the hoarders. Although I understand when somebody has a track they have promised not to put out there, it seems this attitude would be waning, what with the fans that care about such things are getting older and older, and it's not like we are all 19 years old proud of having the Black Album. I wish those that had this stuff would just let it out. Some of us will die never hearing some songs due to Prince, of course, and also due to hoarders who will never leak things.

No, I'm sure the people behind the track lack something in life, and seek out praise for being "in the know," and being in an exclusive club. It's a sick, sick self fulfilling greed disorder where one is falsely viewed as super special for having a rare item.

There's an argument to be made against Susan Roger's assessment of this track. I find her initial talkings about it to be offenseive at the very least. It's a beautiful track that is due its accolades. However, the engineer had to put in two cents that were not necessary, and basically put this track into seclusion. It's a shame.

And that's the reason for my input in this matter. I'm not going to argue whether a track should be released or not. I will, however, state that I don't feel its my position to begin a trend. and I say that to quell any fires that may begin to burn should folks feel they are at some sort of disadvantage. Life and circumstance has brought Prince's music and diversity in such levels to me, but I am content to know what I know and that's that.

Would I love to hear the entire Cosmic Day? Sure! I don't have that...but so be it if I don't ever hear it. I know it exists out there but don't pass any judgment on those that have it or their motives to keep it. Such is life.
