Prince had a rig switch called "Dirty Guitar" Can you give me examples of some songs that have dirty guitar in it?
btw, I dont know what you call it, but i called it a rig switch. This means an option he has to switch his sound to "dirty."
What songs though?

btw, if I had to guess, one of the songs that may have that sound would be the little excerpt of Zannalee in the Undertaker video . . .or the guitar toward the end of "The Undertaker" after he says "Here come the Undertaker"
yes? no?

I was listening to Hot Thing (Extended Remix) today and I realized it has all sorts of sounds in it. It's got elements of dance, funk, electro, classical, jazzy horn solos and hard rock. The rock guitar is embedded in there but it really shines thru if you pay attention.
The heavy guitar is in the chorus and and at 6:34. What a mad sounding song.

I really wish we could hear the guitar more in Hot Thing but it is way down in the mix. It's also the same in songs like Joy In Repetition and even in The Exodus Has Begun. Now THAT is a real travesty! That solo sounds like it was insane! [Edited 7/22/14 21:27pm]
