Ok, what the best song that Prince opened an album with? I'm mean one that just smacked you in the face, and made you go, dayum. Comments, arguments, your two cents? Go!

I would like to say 1999, but by the time I heard the entire album, that song was so well known that it didn't really smack me up.

But as far as an unexpected smack, I'd say No, cause when I heard it, my mind was saying "here we go, brace yourself for a trip!"

Hmmm... I think the best opening song has got to be Eye No, but if you're talking about overall - I honestly think that the opening to the Batman album was the most memorable. I don't know why, it just is.

RAINBOW CHILDREN - only because it symbolized that Prince was going to totally redeem himself - no samplers, no loops, no rapping.

I really loved Controversy, I don't know if it is the best, but I really enjoyed it. Controversy blew me away when I first heard it. I fell in love with the bridge, and the chorus. I wanted to hear more of it, too bad... still great
