Translation: "Prince should have known better, to sign back with Warner Bros. He played himself."
Actually, I think Warner Bros "played themselves" in signing back a difficult artist. I love Prince's music, but his arrogance gets in the way of conducting business with him. They know his history, and they signed him back anyway. Now we're seeing a clusterfuck, just like we did in the 90's.

Wasn't the PR remaster always slated to be released in the Fall of 2014? Yes, it was a huge lost opportunity to have it out on the actual anniversary, but I've never heard any other release date from the beginning. . For all we know, everything is going perfectly on the PR remaster project. Hell, they might already be working on the followup remaster. . In the music world, Prince and WB signing back together is very huge news. Difficult or not, it's a mutually-beneficial partnership. . I think we are just caught up in the PlectrumElectrum nonsense and think that if one thing is messed up, it must all be . . .

yes i agree with previous comment about a re-mastered box set of all the WB albums + extras. With only the top 6/7 being made available separately (PR, SOTT, 1999, ATWIAD, PARADE, LOVESEXY, Diamond and Pearls?) ........................... ........................... as the others won't generate enough interest, it would be the only way to get hold of them. ........................... ........................... All albums would be remastered with bonus material on a separate disk For You Prince Dirtymind Controversy 1999 Purple Rain Around The World In a Day Parade Sign 'O' The Times Black Album Lovesexy Batman Graffiti Bridge Diamonds and Pearls Symbol Come Gold Experience Chaos & Disorder The Vault: Old Friends For Sale .......................... ......................... I would prefer all single releases (edits, exended, remix versions, b-sides, non album tracks/including new songs from comps) to be on a separate album(s) (in chronological order), leaving more space for alternate and outtakes on the actual albums. ........................... Prince: Singles (& Rarities) (need a better title) Would probably be a multi-disk set in itself!

Yeah, the whole PlectremElectrum saga is a mess. I read some interview about Prince not having access to WB executives, and he blames the music biz for the long process of releasing a album. I forgot the source of this interview, perhaps another orger knows what interview this is. Anyway, I hope everything with the Remaster is going acording to plan, but given P's track record (no pun intended) there is definitely reason for concern.

That's the most confusing thread title ever. business to make money, and I don't think they'd want to have two albums compete with each other. I mean, what happened to the Kobalt dea? มีเพียงความว่างเปล่า 只有空虚 Dim ond gwacter 만 공허함이있다 唯一の虚しさがあります There is only the void.
