I don't have any songs on my phone.

I have some Prince songs on my iPod, but not many. I generally listen to my iPod when I am in the gym and prefer to listen to other music there.

i did used to have Christopher Tracy's Parade as my alarm tone on my old Ericcson k750, winning out over the agressive AFX remix of that 808 track i think, but now smartphones can do pretty much everything there is no need for an alarm tone. I wake up with the ingress of the summer light, the clattering of the bin men, or the simple hedge strimming tones of a flock of scavenging seagulls.

I don't listen to mp3s, and would never wish to hear any music through a phone, nor with earbuds.

Just sayin'.

All of my Prince music is on either vinyl or CD. Try a home stereo, or studio monitors... it will open you up to greater sonic possibilities.

About 500 or so on my Ipod, don't have a smartphone and don't want one.

The songs include mostly classic 80s and 90s tracks, Planet Earth, Lotusflow3r and 20Ten and a lot of bootlegs like Dream Factory and Princes Ivault 1982 to 1988 albums. Stuff like G spot, Electric Intercourse, Fuschia Light, The sex of it, Neon Telephone, all day all night, xtra lovable, all the funky stuff.

Just now, my Ipod is playing "U gotta shake something" as I type this.

Quite a lot, on an iPhone. All the studio albums that I own, which is not all of them, even some major ones missing.

Use a smart playlist in iTunes so if Album artist is Prince or Composer is Prince its in the list and synched to the phone (I changed composer from Morris Day to Prince for The Time album so it gets in the list). I like smart playlists, also have them for ... grouping is 'my vinyl', grouping is 'my CDs', so when I rip to computer I add the grouping and it gets in the list. Will need to revise and change the filters as the device gets close to full, maybe add a track rsating to the filter.

So, yeah, I can fit my whole Prince collection on a phone and still have room for hundreds more other tracks, kinda crazy. I don't collect boots though, so that keeps the collection size down a bit.

Are you asking me, or to anyone in general?

I only have 11 songs and all from For You-1999 I guess I could put more on...

I usually have about 5 Prince albums on my player at a time at most...

If you had asked me about 8 years ago, when I used to tote around a cd player that would play MP3 cds, my answer would have been a very fammy, "EVERY SONG HE'S EVER RELEASED!"
