and whats make it great also is the fact that beside Lionel on the stage performing Head were 2 members of the Commodores. So we can say that Commodores performed Head

Hope Prince understands the world won't burst into flames if he performed Head. Take notes and age makes no difference. __________________________________________________

All those saying it would be embarrassing to see Prince sing Head because he's soooo old, Lionel is 9 years older than Prince! Neither one of them is too old for oral sex... or singing about it. Head is good for every one. Don't hate your neighbors. Hate the media that tells you to hate your neighbors.

He already said a million times why he does not do certain songs anymore. Stop attacking someone for those religious beliefs. You have the CD enjoy it.

Lionel's band sounds pretty nice.. He's aging nicely too. Looks nothing like his age. Change it one more time..

But isnt funny when a so called aor soft rock ballad singer Lionel Richie is playing a nasty funk song and Prince who was there seeing it have no balls to play it? Have you seen the crowd reaction after Lionel played Head?

Lionel's drinking the same fountan of youth juice that Bowie, Jagger, and Sir Paul, where they just seem happier, and content than ever, with perfect command of the stage, and their voice is somehow stronger than it's been in decades

This is a performance from 2009. Was Prince really there?

If he were into saying profane things, he would probably be pressing the play button during his ridiculous "Prince Karaoke" set that fans have nicely named the "Sampler Set." So he wouldn't be actually playing this song. It just screams out as one of those songs he would not do with a band regardless of lyrical content.

They did it several times on the Parade tour and many times before that. This Could Be Us But U Be Playin...

When are fans going to get over this? It's been years already. When go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all up in the house but when log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

First off I saw Lionel Richie live recently and he was amazing! He's still got it and then some.
I almost think this is kind of a dig towards Prince saying that he stole the sound of BZrick House when he wrote Head...hmmm interesting
[Edited 7/10/14 16:57pm] The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.
Remember there is only one destination and that place is U All of it. Everything. Is U.

Can you imagine if Prince broke into this with a razor sharp funk band behind him? Pandemonium. "That's when stars collide. When there's space for what u want, and ur heart is open wide."

lol...and all this time,I thought that Lionel was sorta uncomfortable doing songs like "Brick House" and "X-Rated Movie" when he was in the Commodores beneath that "nice guy" image,he's a wild, funky dude!

Honestly, he didnt sing one word of it himself. It was his band/keyboard plager who sang and played it. So what the fuzz ? "The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves. And wiser people so full of doubts" (Bertrand Russell 1872-1972)

I agree laurarichardson. If the man no longer wants to perform certain songs, leave it alone! He made the records/cd, you can always hear it there, anytime you want to. It's like some are just dying to hear Prince sing dirty lyrics again, as if it will satisfy something deep within them????

Is it so hard to understand that it would satisfy a lot of fans if he would play that songs live? Because those are great songs? Because they're part of his history that made us such big fans? I like Head and Sexy MF much more than to hear Take me with u for the thousandst time live in concert. I just want more variety, more songs from his great catalog.

Wow! Read much? How you got that joyinrepetition is attacking Prince for his religious beliefs out of that statement is beyond me. There is no attack there, nor any mention of religious beliefs. I see this as you attacking joyinrepetition for sharing an opinion. Don't hate your neighbors. Hate the media that tells you to hate your neighbors.
