I wonder if this is a new interview with them or just parts of old interviews. As I recall, they spoke to SOUND OPINIONS in the past, so I'm very curious. Thanx for the post. The expanded version of my book PRINCE and The Purple Rain Era Studio Sessions 1983-1984 was released in November 2018. I've listened to a lot of their broadcasts, and have grown really tired of their "indie=good" aesthetic... That being said, I'll be on this podcast ASAP

it is just a recycled interview with Wendy and Lisa. Nothing new here. The expanded version of my book PRINCE and The Purple Rain Era Studio Sessions 1983-1984 was released in November 2018. Great interview. A must for all Prince fans. In the interview it is said and agreed by W&L that there would be no Purple Rain without them. Post their absence with the nose dive in the quality of his output it is made ever so clear that that is a fact. [Edited 7/4/14 17:06pm]

that's a little short sighted and diceptively phrased ... I don't discount W & L's contributions, but let's be a little more comprehensive about what they brought to the table and why ...
