A good half of Superconductor blew my mind, too, starting with the title track.

Liv's Your Show is quite impressive, too.

I really love Boyfriend, Breakfast Can Wait, R&RLA and Fallinlove2nite, too. No, finally I was quite blown away by what's been out lately.

Album tracks save Superconductor, it would be Lavaux.

I think most of his output from the past couple of years has been awesome.

Me too. I loved 3121 and Lotus Flower, but I was blown away by TRC. I do like The Breakdown, but I stopped playing after two weeks. I am still playing Last December.

Scredriver Remix. I literally jumped out of my chair, plugged in my guitar. and played the last half of the song as I was hearing it for the first time.

Way back...16 years ago...Da Bang!

All the screaming and guitar...I love it!

P.S. I do like "Fixurlifeup" a lot, though.

Yeah, and that starts with not being a dummy who believes his own personal tastes are a universal standard and showing some respect for other people's personal tastes. I don't know who you are but I doubt you have been given the right to decide which music is good and which is bad by a higher authority. You are all alone. No one will hear you when you scream.

..& i mean made you believe that there was life in the old dog yet!,you played it on repeat & if older you still play it to this day! Lets not fcus on bitchy commenst as he's done nothing decent since SOTT / TGE etc!!

For me it was 'Wow' / The unexpected. As heard at the UK gigs in Feb, the opening 'Hello'..whoo lawd!. Yes a simple R&B song BUT it just has that little bit of P magic sprinkled over it.

I guess there would be a difference in a song that BLOWS U AWAY vs Good Songs

He has a lot of good songs up till now, I'm one that looves a lot of songs on 20Ten

But the last song that blew me away was Everywhere [RainbowChildren]

"The Breakdown" and "FunkNRoll".

Can't complain about his more recent output in that regard.

I'm pretty sure you're to blame on that and not what Prince's output has been like since.

Agreed, for me the Screwdriver remix is the last song that blew me away. I should say blows me away, because every time I play it I can't help smiling and doing all my old Prince head bobs and hand moves. (And if you don't know what I mean by that, you respond to great Prince music differently than I do)!

Hard to say. When I downloaded it, I listen in repeat "That girl thang" and "Octopus hearth", also "Here" some years ago.

But it is not "blew u away"... I remember the first time I listen "Family name", the first half of the song blew me away... but I didn't put it in infinite loop. The same for the second half of "Juda's smile".

Maybe I'm too old to lose the mind for a single song. I had to go with memory when I was seventeen and was walking every day for one hour to listen "la la la he he he" in a Jukebox in a village near the one I was living.

The Breakdown. The deep self-reflection of the lyrics, dramatic melody and layered vocals make it an instant classic. This song's got me on lock. Put it on loop and I'm gone.

"That Girl Thang"

I love it's simplicity, and I love when he goes accoustic.

.

^^^ A highlight from the 2013 downloads. I'm not aware of any other Prince song that sounds quite like it, and its not every day we get him and just an acoustic guitar. A mesmerizing piece with exquisite vox--gorgeous falsetto--and stunning melodies. I, too, love the unrefined 'demo' quality of the recording; The stripped-down effect makes me feel like I'm sitting at his feet with no one else in the room, him just strumming his guitar and crooning for an audience of one.
