Most people who see a question they don't care to answer just skip the thread. BVH feels the need to chime in, he wants the person to know he thinks he/she is stupid or lazy. Then if you call him out on being contemptuously rude and condescending, he says you're attacking him personally and that you're even dumber than he thought you were.

He's a disgruntled superfan who won't let go of what he keeps hating. Put him out of his misery, it's not healthy to devote that much time to something you supposedly detest and spit on.

I get y'all don't like Bart and wile I can see he is not the most easy to love person here on the board, but even for people like BVH and KCoolMuziq (the other end of the spectrum) there should be a place on the Org. Everyone has an opinion and should be able to vent it somewhere.

Sometimes I think BVH is a bit crude with insulting people, but often there is some truth behind his insults. Also he has brougt up valid points in many a conversation here. No reason to "put the old dog out"...

Is it really Bart's fault that a bunch of orgers scolded him? Over what? A bold post. I don't think the cause deserves the effect. If you don't like what he had to say report him to the mods. Worse the title is misleading. New song where? The link was broken for a reason.

Yes, it is. He was rude, unpleasant, disagreeable and generally an arse. And that was when he was actually doing something nice.

The problem is that the Org doesn't have an ignore feature. It's easy to say "Don't read his posts" but the reality is that when he posts, you have to ignore not just his post but every post anyone makes that contains his post within the response. So that's just not a viable option.

I am sure Bart has been reported many times but being an ahole is not a violation of the sites TOS, so that's not an option.

So the only hope I can see is to show Bart that the vast majority of people in a place he frequents don't like him and think he's a jerk.

We can't all be wrong.

Most of his views are well represented by other posters very few have problems with. No one wants to exclude him because of those, but due to his textbook bullying and the obvious satisfaction he gets from slamming others for some perceived fault. He oozes contempt and acts like Prince and his music -- as fascinating as they are -- are worth getting so bilious and derogatory. We're not discussing child labor, fascism or some other monstruous practice, we're just talking about a frustrating musician.

I believe it upsets him when he feels someone is not performing adequate research before posting--"half-assed" research, if you will...

I don't believe Bart tackles anything "half-assed" (he apparently approaches everything "whole-assed," if you will)...

Which would explain why every time I read one of Bart's posts, I think "ass-whole"...

i like Bart, all his posts sound completely reasonable and he often has interesting things to say. I don't care that a lot of his posts are 'anti-Prince'. In fact, i really appreciate that Bart contributes to destroying the ridiculous mythos about Prince. It really is fanboyish to want to dig through the layers and layers of hype to get a real understanding of things.

Look at Bart's profile and tell us what his fan level is!

I'm all for fans of an artist being critical, but when you HATE the artist and declare yourself not a fan, why the hell are you on a fan's website? At the very least, people whose fan level is "Not a fan" ought not to be allowed to post in the artist's "Music and More" section.

Like I've said many times before - Bart has a personal grudge with Prince, but he isn't man enough to confront Prince about it. Instead, he takes swipes at Prince here, hoping Prince or one of Prince's employees will inform Prince about what Bart has said.

But after 10+ years of that not working, dang! Get the freaking message, Bart! Prince doesn't care about you!
