Ok, so somebody posted some pictures on tumblr today of a out take scene from GB where The Kid supposedly hangs himself???

I'm actually pretty glad they cut this scene out tbh :/

Do any of you have any knowledge of other cut scenes??

As i recall there is 4 scenes? "the latest Fashion" "The question of U" The hang man scene

Maybe 5 or more minutes in total? Nothing really complete, quality was pretty poor
I have these somewhere, but its not worth digging up

There would ever have been only one acceptable outtake, and that's one where the kid, dressed in purple rain clothing, suddenly wakes up from a dream, allowing the watcher to realize that the whole movie was nothing more than a dream. At least that way, I can get behind the silliness of Graffiti Bridge.

Alas, no such ending exists...

I'll give you this:

The music is great and Morris & Jerome are hilarious. Edit everything else out and you've got a great (short) film.

I like the music as well, and I see the film as some great music videos but with an annoying and weird "storyline", and some crazy dialogue....

Too bad the whole movie isn't an outtake widely not circulating. Then Prince could burn the only copy and spare future generations the agonizing trauma of seeing even a few minutes of this excrutiatingly amateurish mess.

I just dug these outtakes up and watched them for the first time in a long time a couple of weeks ago. The hangman scene is absolutely terrible! Uh you thought what was actually released was embarassing? -phew!

The Can't Stop This Feeling I Got is pretty cool (you know, for Grafitti Bridge material). The Question Of You is pretty cool to see. He's playing at a piano and looking real serious while singing it. The Latest Fasion scene makes more "sence" because it's an actual "battle" scene between the two bands, (or groups of flailing dancers), but it's still a terrible interpritation of the song. like the other performance scenes in the movie.

The few outtakes videos mentioned are bootlegs, you will never see them here

That deleted hangman scene was TERRIBLE. A....B....C..damn, Aura pick a vowel! If anyone has seen this scene you will understand where im coming from. Everytime one plays hangman, they should start with R,S,T,L,N,E..works everytime. I learned it from Wheel of Fortune.

Nope. My version of the DVD only has the music videos; New Power Generation, The question of u, Thieves in the temple and Round and round. And the trailer.

No other edited out scenes sadly.
