Curious Child....

Ano im most probably gonna get alot of people that dont agree with me on this.......but I love this song....such a quirky little sound.....very Old English Tudor sounding.....the type of guitar strumming...id imagine Shakespeare 2 listen to when musicians played in Royal Court........and ofcourse Shakepeare wrote Romeo And Juliet...whom the songs obviously about..amazing track....nothing else like it in his catalog...very experimental...very diffrent....whats ur 4orts?

Always loved "Curious Child". Imagine yourself in a castle looking out of a huge window during the 12th century listening to music played by a talented character dressed in tights with a shirt in lace. The sun is going down and the music played sounds like it comes from a hopsocord (sp) with each key, a melody. The wonderful gent on the hopsocord (sp) never looks up while playing.

I love that song. cloud9

Such a beautiful melody all around. That piano solo is so right on...then it's over too soon.

I love this song.

Yes, I have always thought it sounded like a harpsichord too, I wonder if that was to give the song an air of innocence?
I actually have this as my ring tone for my phone

I absolutely love that song, one of greatest prince song in my opinion. For me there is something deeply sad in this curious child on the balcony, it leaves me with a taste of sweet melancholia. Maybe I'm still a curious child and I care if I'm still in someone's mind. Yes I love this song.

My ex (who is not a huge Prince fan) would hum the melody to our daughter when she was an infant and he was trying to get her to sleep, or if she was crying and he was trying to get her calmed down. It would always calm her down and help her to sleep. The perfect lullabye. I love this song and always associate it with my daughter now.

There's an extended version of Tangerine on the "Rave In2..." remix CD.
