Judging by the excitement and buzz prince gave London, 6.2k tickets sold in four minutes, his twitter and prince related accounts are 'poppin', fire hot. He needs no help on that front.

No one said anything about his personality being defined by twitter. That's your projection. On the hand, I do think Prince is behind the curve on this one. He thinks it's a marketing tool only (of course, even you admit to the influence of other accounts). Hey, you just helped me realize another minus - it's indistinguishable from all that infantile "Prince army" nonsense too. This is crazy!

Prince is not on the internet. I think it's Joshua Welton or Hannah running that stuff. They upload shit whenever they get bored. Can't believe people actually think it is Prince.

Well the style of the posts changed from how it was when it was first opened so more than one person has been in charge of that account, whether its him or not now is another story and not at all certain.

The only thing Twitter tends to expose is the size of one's delusions and, much too often, their self-involvement. We all know Prince has a voluminous ego, I'm happy he hasn't been using the platform like Kanye West or Miley Cyrus.

For example, Goerge Takei has a huge online humor presence... posting on Facebook. Over a million followers. He is not the one posting. I was actually around him at SXSW Austin (paid to shoot video of him), and noticed that posts were still happening on Facebook.

You only noticed this since he started with Twitter? Not much seems to have changed as far as I can tell. Vague messages, saying one thing doing something else, changing his mind etc. All seems pretty standard as far as Prince is concerned.

Prince is old school. He began his career in music long before the Internet and social media became part of people's everyday lives. My guess is that Prince probably doesn't spend a lot of time online. Between the travel involved with touring, constant rehearsals, performances, etc., I don't think maintaining his social media presence, much less making it interesting, is high on Prince's priorities list.

Not surprised he is probably boring LOL. Music 24/7 will make you pretty boring I imagine. Thats probably why he is so aloof in interviews to hide how dull he probably is.

Twitter sucks anyway. Who wants to know what somebody does everyday? Fake profiles are much more funny than real ones so what does that say LOL.

I can agree with that. Either its someone he trusts (because they know his boundaries well) or he's vetting whats posted to some degree. As we see things go up and get deleted quickly is probably a sign he's vetoed something.

So-called Mystique and Social Media don't mix well.

I was intrigued by the now deleted tweetpic of Prince captioned 2009ThePleasurePrincipal2009. It was pre-afro so maybe it was 2009, but was it a Gary Numan reference? Janet Jackson? I guess we will never know.
