Yep, I think this is complete bollocks coming from the Sun. We've seen his rider for venues and it's very tame. Water, tea, cereal and incense candles iirc. He climbed on the speakers at The Roundhouse, I believe, and overall he just seemed so light on his feet when I seen him in Manchester.

Plus, the way he goes into that low crouch at 6:00. I find that hard to do, and I'm 19

More seriously and to the point, this really reminds me of Elvis insisting that tin foil be put up on the windows of his rooms when he was in hospital in Memphis in the '70s. He was a notorious insomniac, maybe Prince is too, and feels he needs to sleep in the day when on tour.

In fact, fans were often tipped off by the foil on the windows that Elvis was in hospital in Memphis.

I agree, this is super tame compared to the weird stuff you can read on smokinggun.com's tour rider section. In fact, they make fun of him because in past tour contracts he wanted a doctor to give him a B12 shot. Not that outrageous!

I also think it says a lot about Prince that after 30 years in the business the most bizarre thing they can report about him is that he doesn't want to walk up some dark stairwell or that he doesn't want to see the crappy art on the wall.

The guy doesn't throw TV's out the hotel window, get high and make a spectacle of himself, offer kids Jesus Juice, molest groupies with fish, or demand brown m&ms be removed.

I imagine Prince just showers, shaves and shits in the room, and is busy the rest of the time he's staying somewhere.
