The Kids Still Like Prince.... This was in interesting scenerio tonight.. I went out to a karaoke bar.. and Purple Rain was performed.. which was WAY cool... Immediately afterwards the dude I was standing by, I happened to glance at his phone.. he was trying to look up Prince tour dates. ALSO right after the Purple Rain performance, the DJ played "Pussy Control" and wondered aloud on the mic.. Whatever happened to Prince, wish he'd return on the scene... PRINCE.. They're waiting for u!!!! This all made me Smile..

The lack of Prince on Youtube is killing his popularity.

This is true, but im young and I have discovered lots of Princes music of course without using Youtube. I guess its all about bearing with the fact that everything isnt always available and open to you at all times but his music and videos are not impossible to hear or view. This is what I had to learn. This Could Be Us But U Be Playin...
You Can Call It The Unexpected Or U Can Call It WOW

Yep. I was at the Thursday night Prince gig (opening night in Birmingham), then on Sunday I saw Nine Inch Nails at the same venue (LG Arena), then on Monday I saw Prince again. |

I thought this might be a good thread for one of my first posts. I just turned 21 and really only discovered Princes' music about a year ago and am absolutely loving it. Most of my friends aren't really familiar with his work but are well aware of his eccentricities which they usually take the piss out off at me.

I'm 19 and a huge Prince fan, have been since I was aroud 16. I went to both Koko concerts and the Leeds concert and there was a fair share of young people. However, most people I know don't know about him or only know about Purple Rain, When Doves Cry or Kiss, that he changed his name to a Symbol (not that he changed it back), and a select few know he's a good guitar player. His lack of presence on Youtube is killing his popurality among younger people, it is probably THE best thing he could change to promote himself. Hundalasiliah!

In Manchester I was surrounded by people in their late teens and early twenties and some of them were obviously having the time of their life...

I'm 19 and have been a fan since I was about 12. My auntie got me into him in 2007 (the song that caught my attention was Guitar ) I have distinct memories of the Symbol album from when I was really young though from when my Dad used to play it (he's a massive fan also) Seeing him 4 times this year was incredible. I can vouch for young people loving Prince. I'm out in Manchester quite a bit and I've heard I Wanna Be Your Lover played a few times. People always love it [Edited 6/26/14 1:04am] I got two sides... and they're both friends.
