6 months to go.....PR remaster for sure.....but what else?

He should just give this album away for free.Release a free download on his official site.The mainstream doesn't know or care about this project anyway.Release it for free to the diehard fans.It seems to be a project that Prince is bored with,anyway.Throw it out there and move on to something else.

This album won't make alot of money hell,Mariah Carey can't even sell alot of records these days.Give it away free,cut your losses and move on.

Everything is such a confused mess. Its as if no one knows what the hell is going on. Kobalt are no doubt confused, WB are probably perplexed, 3EG are no doubt wondering what the plan is, the concerts make no sense; 3EG playing hits and very few 3EG songs. The concerts now dont seem to be promoting anything. Singles released completely out of context of everything (rock album coming, here is a dance track as a single).

We have seen confusion and mess before in the past, but at least we still got an album every year, even if it wasnt the one we were expecting. At least the music kept coming. This mess follows a 4 year hiatus and the longest period in Prince's career without an album. Prince is no longer a music maker by all accounts. He is just a performer of old songs. Everything else is noise and chatter without substance.

Without doubt, the most incoherent, unproductive and messed up period so far.

The album will come, be patient I'm sure there are alot of details to be finalised and its all about them finding the right balance and times to release each record, they wont want him flooding the market. Warner's main concern will be to get out Purple rain now thats the money spinner for them. Any new albums after this will have extra sales off the back of that too if it goes to number one etc...

Which is sad because a few months back there was actually buzz about the album... The New Girl Episode/Mojo Interview/ Rolling Stone story..

Sad also for the people who have worked hard on this album and deserve to have it released.

Prince must make it very clear to his band members that there is no guarantee anything they record will ever be released. Although you hear a member or former member from time to time say, "We did some really good stuff that never got released", I don't recall any members crying or whining about stuff not getting released.

And anyway - I believe that everything we believe was to have made up "Plectrum Electrum" HAS been released, one way or another.

That is true..the songs that were supposed to be on the album Plectrum Electrum have already been distributed by him. There are only two or three(maybe four), I believe, that we have not heard.

we've only had 2 songs off the album, Fixurlifeup and Pretzelbodylogic, i rekon about 8 or 9 more tracks make up the album

I've asked several times whether it was confirmed that these tracks were meant for PE for sure. Admittely I've been confused by the random and sporatic releases since he's been with 3EG and I guess I'm not alone, if you look up BCW it is listed as being on an album called 3rd Eye Girl released Feb. 22, 2013?

I'm sure only Pretzelbodylogic and Fixurlifeup are/were intended for Plectrumelectrum from that list. According to the MOJO interview guy the other PE songs we've heard are the instrumental Plectrumelectrum, and (if you've listened to the boots or been at any of the shows) Funknroll, Marz and Wow. There's also Tictactoe and Whitecaps and that only makes 8, so there's probably a few others. From what I've heard, I think Plectrumelectrum sounds like a great album! Wow, Funknroll and Plectrumelectrum are all really good, and Pretzelbodylogic has really grown on me. Fixurlifeup is the only one I really can't stand.
