Prince is an amazing artist. No question. We wouldn't be here if he wasn't. But sometimes, a specific thing just jumps out at you and makes you say 'whoah'.

This happened to me today, when 'Sister' popped up on shuffle, and was immediately followed by 'Little Red Corvette'. So, I just want to state that:

I can hardly believe that there was only two years (and one album!) between Dirty Mind and 1999. It sounds like a difference of about five years, to my ears.

Got any mind-blowing Prince facts?

the fact that Prince had a top 40 pop-single every year from "1999" in 1983 up to "The Holy River" in 1997 is incredible, that's a span of no less than 15 years:

Not many artists can be proud of that -- achieving that.

"So many hits... so little time....."

That he seems to be the only artist with more unreleased material that released.

He had a top 10 hit every year from 1983 to 1994, even more impressive.

The fact that the guy makes such weird-ass music and is one of the most successful pop stars ever blows my mind.

Also that he's used cheap BOSS pedals throughout his career and haven't gone for anything fancier instead.
