All of you need to go back and listen. She did interview him via phone back in the Dirty Mind days.

She also wrote about him a lot in "CREEM" back in the day. If you also listen one of the asshats in the audience has a recorded interview with Prince and she mentions that may be the reason he does not want to be recorded. People have sold the recorded interviews or just wrote something he did not even say. He does not trust the media.

didnt say they werent what you describe..they also, to me , IMHO, came off as a little prenticious!

If Prince Did allow interviews taped, the interviews would be printed acurately And there wouldn't be a high market for audio clips of interviews... Prince himself made this of high demand by his own demands... and the idea that ppl want audio of interviews, is enuff validation that people Are interested in what he has to say and that he Should do interviews.. but we all know how silly he can come off. so it's double-sided when he 'should' do more interviews..lol.. sometimes, they hurt more than help, but Maybe it's about being misquoted or Does he really say silly stuff intentionally just to make sure the inteviewer is paying attention.. Or does he not think about how things will be analyzed?

Then.. when/if they did get leaked.. he would know Exactly where they came from and could take legal actions acordingly... Nevermind.. when it comes to Prince, when it's so simple is where he makes things complicated..LOL

One final thought.. whatever happened to the Part 2 of the interview Dr. Funkenberry had with Prince? I think Dr. Berry should just say forget the timing and just share what you can tell he WANTS to.. cuz Obviously, PlectrumElectrum is not coming out and seems like Prince's camp kinda quit dishing the news out to funkenberry anyways...

The good thing about not letting journalists record the interview is that you can always claim to have been misquoted no matter how accurate the journalist remembers the interview. It's word against word, and no truth. This is a way for Prince to control the media, and not the other way around.
