I think a collaboration with Niles would have made more sense a few years ago when Prince & The NPG were playing disco covers (including Le Freak). As they're both immensely talented, however, they could cook up something awesome. On a cautionary note, LARRY GRAHAM is immensely talented and look what happened after Prince started playing Sly/GCS covers! Re Pharrell, he's kinda gone down that 70's route (including working with Niles) and where he's at right now isn't far removed from where Prince was pre-3rdEyeGirl. However, there's something a bit more sterile about his sound. As big a fan as I am of many of his productions, I too would prefer him NOT to work directly with Prince. No! Eye like Pharrell. Eye went to a conference he gave last summer & he REALLY impressed me. I just prefer Prince to do what he always has done produce HIMSELF! Pharrell's muziq is good. But he isn't as versatile as Prince is musically.Prince can play ANY KIND of muziq. He has been doing it all his career. He has NOTHING to prove!!!  will ALWAYS think of  like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that wasn't of this earth, would not have been that surprised. R.I.P. | |

Yeah I see what you mean. Pharrell kinda has his own sound in place but it doesn't go as many directions as Prince. I think the fact has been his own producer for decades will never happen again. Trolls be gone! | |
