Does anyone know who the publicist is for Prince and/or Warner Brothers for the Purple Rain 30th Anniversary releases/activities? Thanks! Lisa

I don't have a name for you, and I'd doubt they have a name assigned to it yet, but the names you want will most certainly be one of the VP of Marketing/Publicity. If you call WB and ask who you can talk to about the Prince reissues, the front desk will most likely say they don't know, and then go ask, before transfering you to someone. At that point, you will probably get to voice mail, or told to get back in touch when they're servicing that project. They might punt you to some other office, where you'll almost certainly get a voice mail, but if it's legit, they'll call you back. It's rare they're ready to field requests until the promotional cycle of the release itself, which they prompt with a press release. On a big project, or a tour, there's usually an outside publicist, or the booking agent doubles for a publicist, but if it's in coordination of a release, you will at some point be directed back to the label, or a manager. This isn't the answer you're looking or, but these tools (or hints) should give you the ability to do the research on your own.
