Need some help!

I'm writing an essay on recent developments within the music industry and one of my topics is Prince's 'Hit & Run' shows in February, signing to WB and the NPG Music Publishing. I'm trying to find examples of use of his music in media recently, besides New Girl. Can anyone help?

I got two sides... and they're both friends.

As far as the media.. Fallinlove2nite was on a The Bachelor commercial. It was the background music. Thats all I could think of though. Hope this helps a little.

They use Prince and The Time on 'Bargain Hunt' and 'Homes Under The Hammer' on the BBC all the time. Just short clips though, presumably to avoid fees. Someone on there must be a fan. These might be repeats though, it is the BBC in the daytime after all.

Ah yeah that rings a bell, sure I've heard some stuff on there before. It's definitely a strange choice of music, you're right that someone there must be a fan.

I heard "Time Waits For No One" by Mavis Staples on "Homes Under The Hammer" once, a couple of years ago. It was the first time I heard this song played on radio or TV and I couldn`t believe my ears what was being played!!

The UK version of 'Off Their Rockers' used both Sheila's 'The Glamorous Life' and the extended version of Kiss in the latest episode. (I am ashamed to know this information - i blame the olds!)

I've no idea if this has anything to do with the recent licensing deal though.

Didn't they dance to Kiss in Glee? I am sure someone has sung purple rain on BGT or some other crap recently.

Thanks for all the responses! I've already submitted my essay now neutral Wish I could have included some of these examples, like Pretzel being used on SoccerAm and I Wanna Be Your Lover
