This song is so awesome...at first I thought it was Prince...it just oozed of Prince sound. But I recognized the voice as Andre's...glad they played it today (old school radio station's ROCK ) Tina (~!~)

Around 1998 I was in the front row of a Prince concert and it was scorching hot. People were using these paperplates they had available to hold the Doritos that they used to hand out as little fans.
One girl took her plate and wrote, "The Dance Electric" on it and held it up to Prince. He was playing and he bent down so he could read the sign and I have to tell you that he made the funniest face I had ever seen him make. There is just no way I can do his face justice. I thought it was pretty damn funny as there was no way in the world the band would have any idea as to how to play that track.

I was at the "Parade" concert that was taped in Detroit at Cobo Arena back in '86; Andre came on and played "Dance Electric" and then did a bass vs. guitar thang with Prince (P played a lick on guitar and then A played a lick on bass--kinda a call and answer thing). It was truely one of the highlights of the night--seeing the two of them back together. Anyway, years later when I found out this concert was circulating on video, I just HAD to find it because I wanted to see that part again. Well, needless to say I was MAJORLY disappointed when I saw that that part had been edited out. . . I haven't been able to locate an unedited version. . .(hint, hint )
