Strays of the World ( A great song about loneliness and the power of love...some find it too bombastic and reminiscent of Three Chains of Gold..but I think it is far superior to that mess. This would have fit perfectly into the concept of the Come album and he should have left this on the album configuration instead of dropping it from it. Would´ve been a perfect ending for that album, especially since "Come!" is the last word in that song.)

-

Sticky Like Glue

-

Walk in Sand

-

Cinnamon Girl (not a song I really listen to very often but I like the music and the lyrics, and I think it´s just as good or better than most of the "political" songs he wrote in the 80s).

-

Freaks On This Side (Not exactly a masterpiece or a very memorable tune but it has never bothered me as much as it seems to bother some folks here. I´m surprised that I kind of like it because I can´t even listen to songs like We Gets Up or I Like Funky Music, Courtin Time or Damned If I Do for a minute, let alone for the duration of the whole song. This one is not that bad and I never have the urge to skip it.)

-

Lion Of Judah (I like the music, I like the vocal delivery, I even like the lyrics to some extent but the title and the Biblical references ruin the flow and the whole vibe and atmosphere of this song. I don´t mind Biblical references in general in Prince´s songs even though I don´t practise that religion, but they feel strangely misplaced particularly in this otherwise great song. Fans hate this one but I like it.)

-

Reflection .....I just love this one. It´s personal and yet accessible, it´s old school, acoustic and it is just a beautiful song. I like the album version but I prefer the live version he did on the Tavis Smiley show with Wendy.

-

Come ( The album version. I really, really like and prefer the album version and especially the way he sings it compared to the more or less spoken versions. The only thing I dislike about the album version are those cunnilingus sounds that are very juvenile, vulgar, crass and in bad taste...they sound like he´s eating some juicy fruit like mango or papaya or melon, and I wish he´d released it without those ridiculous sounds).

-

Incense and Candles (OK, the lyrics are horrible, especially since they are neither fish nor flesh, but, much like Lion of Judah, this is a song with a lot of potential that is, in my opinion at least, marred by lyrics that make him look a bit too undecided for my taste. He´s trying to be sexy while at the same time trying not to sound too sexy. The little rapping part is unnecessary, and the song tries to be sexy while at the same time sounding a bit too restricted and tame(d). But all in all, this could´ve been a very popular song. The autotune doesn´t really add anything positive to it, either, but it is one of those hated-among-fans songs that I have always kind of liked...kind of...not really....but kind of...somehow.... lol )

-

I was always under the impression that people liked Sticky Like Glue and Reflection....

Sticky like glue is GREAT. And then the Geritol Rap starts and shits all over it. He should take it out and only include it in the AARP 6 mo' min's till def remix(free in an AARP magazine insert)

I agree i love Come to death but cringe at hearing his "slurping" sounds. Other than that..it is one of my faves. Never gets old.

I don't necessarily "love" them, but...

"Eveybody Loves Me" is pretty funny and people tend to take it too seriously.

"There'll Never B Another Like Me" may be the catchiest song on MPLSound.

"I Like Funky Music" would be great with different type of drums (probably the same goes for "Hot Wit U").

"Wherever U Go, Whatever U Do" is very nice understated tune. Kitschy, but I like it.

I have no idea why so many people on this site claim to hate "Lemon Crush". It's surely better than many of the poppier tracks he's released since.

"Walk Don't Walk," "Strays of the World," "Poom Poom," "We March," "The Marrying Kind" (LOVE that song, favorite track from "Musicology"), "ICP&C," "Everybody Loves Me," "Reflection," "Resolution," and I like almost all of the "Exodus" album, especially "The Exodus Has Begun."

I absolutely LOVED Wherever U Go, Whatever U Do when Rave first came out and still like it. And Lemon Crush has a great, thumping bass sound and beat. The only thing that sounds a bit off is the lyric "When I´m working at my jobba...." etc. That has always sounded a bit weird to me but I never understood why fans dislike that song so strongly. lol

Mmmmmhhhhhhmmm.....Clockin´ the Jizz!

I love the jazzy guitar halfway through the song.

Mhhhhhhhmmmm....Clockin the Jizz!

And it has a very deep, important message, too. If you can´t clock the jizz, your girl might end up not satisfied.

Mmmmmhhhhhhhhhmmmmm....Clockin the Jizz!

Love the guitar. lol

Not sure what most fans are into but I suspect that some would hate the following:

On the Couch - the song is lazy, almost too easy and whiny. I suspect most fans would

prefer a more empowered lyric even if the lyrics have a manipulative tone.

Open Book - the vocals have a somewhat raw and unfinished quality. Open Book is

another easy song that is very dramatic. Beyonce's fans would eat this song up

if she sang it!

Muse to the Pharaoh - need I say more.

- I must admit I love all of Prince's music with the exception of some of the 94East work

(but given time I will acquire a love for it as well)

I like the music, but the lyrics are whack lol if I'm workin....at my jobba....I'm the victim....you the robba....lol

Compared to the other songs on the album (which are much more substantial),"Lemon Crush" seems like a filler track.
