The Rolling Stone article said that the album was coming "in the spring."
Spring ends on June 21, so the album is technically still on schedule.

maybe he could bundle it with his album and PR
or
perform it live in entirety

Call me Mr Pessimistic but at the moment I can see him releasing fuck all. No PE, no PR and no solo album. Hype has built and dwindled several times now for PE, May 16th I think was anniversary of WDC, perfect time for a reissue of said single leading up to the album on 16th - yet still no promotion for anything. Hope he proves me wrong, but don't see it at the moment. On the hugest of plus sides I've seen him 4 time this year! Comin str8 outta Preston...

Ughh...im just tired of waiting. The anticipation is KILLING me. He has had plenty of opportunities to release something but now its just quiet...Cmon Prince stop teasing me! Come...As you can see, the insanity has gone to my head. This Could Be Us But U Be Playin...

I don't think there will be any PE album and some of the songs will probably end up on the solo album. I also read somewhere here on the org that the 3EG song FunkNroll apparently was on a configuration of his new solo album, that's proof enough

Its not beyond the realms of possibility that Warner Brothers are putting a spanner in the works. If Plectrum Electrum is going to be a Warner Brothers album they may want input and new songs may be needed in their opinion. Also, WB won't approve of a Purple Rain remaster and Plectrum Electrum in the same period, will they?

Did you forget about what happened in London? Those concerts to celebaret teh release of the new album. Suddenly there was silence and no talk about album release anymore. P was spotted shopping whatever to some label execs. And then the PR remaster news came. But not a clear statement of what/when and especialy not about Plectrum Electrum. All I can conclude is that his communication department has poor skillz.

. I think priorites have switched to Purple Rain Remaster to be honest as this will be the big money maker for them and will essentially bring him back into the album charts, other albums will follow i'd imagine off the back of it, these concerts have been more Hits orientated than new material so its not a tour to promote a new Album, more a promotional tour for Prince to get back out there in the media and make him relevant again. To release PE 6 months ago would have been a mistake and would have bombed, compared to if they did it now or in 6 months time when his popularity around europe has peaked again. . PE may still come but in what form & when who knows? Technically they could release the 3EG album under a different Label if they signed it as the collective name 3rd Eye Girl with no reference to Prince (IE Prince ft 3EG), as it is only Prince (Solo) signed to Warner Brothers the group can have a seperate label, but im sure Warner borther would rather be involved in it than them do this. . . Personally I think they should just do a limited run of Vinyl and release it like that.

Can't he simply say that? 'plans have changed: first we'll do the PR remaster but later in 2014 we will release PE.' It's not that hard. Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

On the one hand you've got Prince showing real support, love and encouragement to this new generation of musicians - in Manchester he said "as much as I do this for me and you, I do this for them", (or words to that effect) meaning 3EG. So I'm sure he wouldn't leave them without some sort of recording to their name. Liv has an album after all.
Then on the other hand, did he mention Plectrum Electrum, the album, AT ALL during the second leg of the tour? I don't think so.

. . You should know as a Prince fan nothing is ever laid out straight for people, for some reason he still likes all the mystery around him and speculation etc... when in actual fact the majority of fans are older now and are not draged into it as much as they may have been years ago, so yeah, it would be better for the fans for them to just say its been put back but that would mean them giving people advanced notice. . In Manchester in Feb he said they were going to put the album out them return, so plans changed after the PR Remaster announcement and he came back again with no album for us performing primarily hits shows part of the build up by WB for the re-issue, I wouldnt be suprised if the states gets some "hit & run" shows next to generate some publicity over there before a November release.

. . Its probably not all straight forward as such, Prince as a solo artists is signed to Warner Brothers, the girls are just his band in their eyes. So the 2nd Leg of the Tour will have been more focused on Hits and probably funded by Warner Brothers, Marrissa Jack who was with him was a singer who has been in development with Warner for a few years and they probs asked him to take her with him too (I couldnt see him picking her himself) . As Plectrum Electrum is 3EG and not a Prince Record its hard to tell where it falls and who will release it, but Prince albums will come first to them. . . I do hope for the girls sake it is released they really deserve it.

That's what frustrates me about Prince. Just say something instead of just of keeping us all waiting...

Don't know why, but I love it when he says that, 'What ISSS, Plectrumelectrum'. Great track. A little off topic, but does anyone know if the Madison Dube video is an extract of the studio version? I hope so, love the sound of it. Hundalasiliah!
