So that looks like it is probable (I won't say definite until the CDs are in my hand) that in 2014 we will get:

1. Purple Rain remastered deluxe

2. Plectrumelectrum (Prince & 3rdEyeGirl OR 3rdEyeGirl featuring Prince)

3. New Prince album

Cool for us fans. Confusing for the general public (but then I don't care about them really as long as I get my Prince fix)

Yeah me too. Been loving that 70s grungy garage rock vibe (not original but certainly different for Prince). Of course there is still room for a more "Prince-like" album from Prince too (greedy - moi!)

Of course, I wasn't saying I don't want the Prince album, hyped for that too. I just meant that it seems we're now definitely getting a Prince album but PE seems like it may be on the back burner. But I really want a great quality Funknroll, loving that tune.

I would imageine 1 & 3 are WB, with 3 being the new album referred in the press release about the masters. To me it seems that 2 is a bit up in the air as to whether it's being released or not.

It doesnt say on the tweet that PE is going to be released. I dont know whether he has given up on that idea. I hope not. I would love 3 albums. I would really love PE and a new prince album. I hope it is a newer style not that tired stuff he has been shitting out.

I was impressed with 'the breakdown' and i have been one to doubt him lately. But it was a mature and good song.

This is just what I predicted would happen that by summer there will be a solo Prince album instead cuz Prince has lost interest in PE. Prince should have relesed PE last year or around superbowl this year, now it might end up in the vault

it's also possible that he picked the best tracks from the Plectrum Electrum album,

like those that were mentioned already "Marz", "Wow", "TicTacToe" "Whitecaps" and

"FunkNRoll" and just added half a dozen Prince solo tracks.

For Plectrum Electrum to be totally ditched, i think he has too much regard for the

girls at this stage to do that to them so we'll get more of those tracks one way or

another, at least i'm hoping we will.

Exactly, I think all the trouble they have gone to to promote 3rd Eye they will still release the Record, This deal with WB wont have been made over night and has probabaly been in negotiation as long as 12 months, so no reason why since its been announce for them to Shelve that album.

have you listen to "the breakdown"? the sound is so bad - imagin the same guy masters the old stuff!! how bad will that sounds? on the end of the day this remasters could sound worse than the original...

I'll just be happy with a Prince album.... any new Prince album, whether it's Plectrum Electrum or a different one. Preferably both

The new album is going to be his best since SOTT.
