errant said: Breakfast Can Wait is a pretty good song. But it only got any atebtion because months later ge gave it a wider release with Dave Chappelle on the cover. Without that cover, it would have still been just-another-track languishing in obscurity on the 3rdEyeGirl website. If even. Half that stuff has already been disappeared from there as well.

RAVE is possibly PRINCE at his worst, i mean a track or two on there, but overall that whole era really was a disaster, mainly that also didnt move because PRINCE was not promoting it, he went on TRL in front of 12 year olds and lectured them?? He seemed totally not interested in this album and treated it like it was CHAOS and DISORDER and honestly i think he even has played more of Chaos than the stuff on this record. Also the material was not there, if you look at who PRINCE got for his record, NONE was commercial outside of Stefani and that song was going to be a single but her label pulled it back because they felt it would get mixed up with the new No Doubt album and single, so that was scratched. As for Sheryl Crow you couldnt even hear her on that song, Ani Difranco is and never was a "radio" artist and though that is the best on this album, that didnt matter, and CHUCK D well he was lecturing and kids didnt want that, it would be like the new LL record that has all the guests on it like Eddie Van Halen, Chuck D, Brad Paisley, etc.... good album went nowhere. I think we can all at least say and agree that RAVE was way down the list of his work. "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F
