I'm already pissed of having to wait. In less than a year and a half we've been teased about a Montreux DVD set that seems to have been canceled one minute after being announced, a Superconductor Reloaded that also seems to have been canceled one second after being announced, a PleactrumElectrum album that's constantly delayed, a new Prince album that's uncertain and now it's been a month that WB and P announced the big remasters news and ever since... nothing! I know one month is nothing and I'm ridiculously impatient but the problem is that I'm getting tired of waiting for uncertain projects that never seem to be released and now when something is being announced I don't believe in it until I see it. I wish WB and P would at least tease us a bit by letting us know bits and pieces about what's in the work, just to remind us that yeah, it's really happening and that no, it's not going to be a major, cheap disappointment with 2 extended versions, 4 b-sides and 2 outtakes on a single CD.

The problem is that Prince seems 2 not care enough about his projects anymore so its not important 2 release it but I kind of understand him, cuz who buys his stuff more than us fans these days? I think this will be more common from now on and we have 2 get used 2 it that projects will get shelved cuz Prince is all about touring instead

So he can't be on tour and have a release date at the same time? this reissue is already sorted and waiting to go, it was done before the announcement

I suppose he doesn't need to record anything for a reissue Hell, he could be selling it on this tour.

If this was true, then it's also the reason to release stuff, to make the fans happy. So they'll keep being fans and keep spending money. It's simple really.

Especially if we're talking about finished projects being shelved. The work is done, nothing left but selling it to the fans. Even local bands in my town can manage this.
