Just look at the Pink Floyd and (releasing in June) Led Zep remasters for what to expect. I very much doubt WB's treatment of Prince's albums will be any different. And I for one will not complain at that. Being able to indulge in buying new Prince products in a physical format will be great. Whether we get to see 3EG's album is debatable which is a crying shame. Sometimes you just wanna shake the man. Those poor girls.

I imagine it will be nothing more than remastered with b-sides . P-p-e-n-g-u-i-n......the P is silent

That couldn't look more shit if it tried. Compare that to that beautiful box set from U2. WE WANT VINYL!!!

Judging from your pic that looks beautiful and I'd pay good dosh if they do something similar with purple rain (and I'm sure they will!)

Purple Rain is part of music history. Not just Prince's history, but music history, period. It deserves the best remaster treatment available!

As long as it has Sex Shooter, Jungle Love, The Bird and Modernaire on it I'll be happy. If these tracks are not there then I won't bother buying it and I'll just stick with the album I've got.

I for one hope that WB does NOT go down the super ultra mega deluxe route for the PR reissue, like whichever label did for this U2 set. Replica Bono shades - really? A multidisc set with all the outtakes and live cuts that are fit to put out would make me very happy. Oh alright, and a book/let with lots of nice pics and liner notes would be very nice. Honestly, I think I can do without having to pay for, I don't know, a replica purple raincoat as part of the package. It's been too long since you've had your ass kicked properly:

After reading 4 pages of this thread i'm surprised no one has mentioned the double album PR tracklist that Per Nilson listed in his book. It had songs that have not been mentioned here. I wish i still had that book but i recall titles like "All Day, All Night", "Destiny", and maybe something like "There are others here" not sure but i know there were others along with the ones mentioned here like "Electric Intercourse" "G Spot", "Possessed" and the rest of the b sides. If anyone can dig up an old Per Nilson biography and clarify this that would be appreciated. That would be what i want to see if this accurate: An original double album tracklist.

I think All Day All Night sounds like it could've been a b side, Others Here With Us is more Parade. I'm hoping for Roadhouse Garden and Our Destiny too She Believed in Fairytales and Princes, He Believed the voices coming from his stereo

Pink Floyd at it again, this time is for The Division Bell
The set will be released on 30 June. Pink Floyd have announced they're to release a 20thanniversary box set of their final album, ‘The Division Bell’. The set features six discs, five collectors’ prints, a Blu-ray disc including the new 2014 film of 'Marooned' and a previously unreleased 5.1 surround sound mix of the album. Also included will be a new 2-LP vinyl edition of the album, remastered by Doug Sax from the original analogue tapes, including all of the full length tracks which were originally edited to fit on a single LP. ‘The Division Bell’ debuted at No 1 in the UK and in the USA, staying at the top of the US charts for 4 weeks; it also went to No 1 in eight other countries and, to date, has reached total album sales of over 12 million. The album was recorded by the band at Astoria and Britannia Row Studios with the majority of the lyrics being written by Polly Samson and David Gilmour.
We can only hope
