Outtakes that could be hits today? 'Lust U Always' would make a good single. One of the truly Princely songs that I reckon would do great in today's charts. It's fun, catchy as hell, has great lyrics (though he'd have to do something about that rape line), and it even has a good Prince-rap.
Any other outtakes people think could be potential hits? Hundalasiliah!

Do Yourself A Favour
. Personally there are a lot of Prince songs (rel and un-rel) that could be big in a different way. Prince is very creative and at different times in his career if the right video and visual performances done correctly, the song that is seen as a Bside Outtake or 'Experimental' could be HUGE in a different kind of Hit way

IDK, it sounds very 80s to me, but it's definitely a great tune. Kinda reminds me of the ending of The Third Man, you know? With the lady walking by a guy and his calm resignation to his loneliness. I kinda wish the Jesse Johnson version had been released as a single and done better, it deserves more than languishing in relative obscurity. Aside from that, a lot of Prince's outtakes seem a little too wacky and experimental to truly storm the charts, as great as many of them are. Maybe 1000 Hugs and Kisses, I can imagine that going down pretty well in the 90s with the whole rnb thing, but today? IDK. Heavenly wine and roses seems to whisper to me when you smile...

Do Yourself A Favour is good one - love it. I'd also say the original Extraloveable and maybe the Prince vocal version of The Sex of It. Hundalasiliah!

I wouldn't mind hearing the gaganator take a stab at Moonbeam Levels. I like her piano stuff like again, again. And the cox seem like something her throat could handle.

I agree that Do Yourself A Favour could be a hit. It's has a catchy yet pretty simple melody, straight forward beat. It's a perfect pop tune that can be played up beat. People wants fast music for dancing still. My Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/tundrah

I don't know, I think if Prince took his 'Purple Music -Ness' more serious I think he could have worked songs in a way that got attention that would make it a hit from a different direction.

Both 'Wonderful Ass' and 'I Wonder' would do well with the right promotion, and thank you for bringing the latter to my attention. I'd never heard it before, great song! Hundalasiliah!

I was coming here to say "I Wonder," but agree with "Wonderful Ass." Also, I realize this is NOT an outtake but none of my friends are familiar with his music (save for "Kiss" and "Raspberry Beret," and I have had SEVERAL of them tell me they love the song "She's Always In My Hair," when they've heard it in my car, at my house, etc. "She made me glad to be a man"

My Summertime Thang....this one should have always been released instead of that goofy ass "The Latest Fashion"
Hell, even the version performed by The Time is better than the mess Prince released on the soundtrack. Walking alone in the dark, I see nothing u see

One of Prince's best songs, released or unreleased. Deserves to be hit - not sure if it would be. Going to listen to it now Hundalasiliah!

With all the R&B clogging the charts today, I think "Crucial" (the guitar version) would stand a chance. One of my Top 5 Favorite Unreleased Tracks. (I don't count the version on the "Crystal Ball" set.) . He'd had to do another draft of the lyrics, though. I mean, I love the song, but some of the words are 3rd grade level at best.
