If I Love U 2Nite - If Only! Songs Never Played Live! On, rare occasions Prince will perform songs that he hasn't ever done live.
Like during the 02 residency, he gave us 1,000 hugs and kisses....Who expected that really?
Or like in 2009, he performed another one of my favorite ballads; 'Journey 2 The Center Of Your Heart' he even had the nerve to joke: "Yeah, U could have probably sang this" Hahahaha....
DID he just perform THAT?
'If I Love 2Nite' is another one of those songs, which I would rave to hear live!
I don't know if, it's just me...
But imagine, this song getting its proper experience live?
I just love this song, the sheer beauty of it! The bass licks, and the sentiment behind the lyrics, it's such a special song to me.
Just imagine going to a show, where Prince is sitting with his bass, within pristine falsetto; singing: "Funny that U should call, I was just sitting by the telephone...Looking 4 a remedy, 4 all my misery...."
It would truly be the highlight of the night!
I am more than aware, that some songs, that if likely performed often, will somewhat take away from its preciousness. Haha... BUT he has far too many songs, he could at least do it every once in a while!
What are some songs you would love to hear live, that he has not done before..But that would add to the amazement of the show?
I know this question has been asked before, and I know some of you might come out with songs Prince probably forgot he made! But it never gets old, when a fan can remind another fan..That Prince has done this too. Sometimes I forget how many songs he has! So, let me know!

I would love to hear Prince live. 99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%. | |

I was at that show. My jaw actually dropped. I reckon there was no more than 10 people in that 25,000 crowd that knew that song, and all of were either orgers or HQ'ers
Never been performed (or even acknowledged!) before or since. That was a very special moment. |
