1992 video snippets questions

Hi,

Here's a new batch of questions regarding the recent leaks. The 1992 all seem to have been taken from TV promo snippets BUT there's no TV channel logos on any of 'em so in doubt I need 2 ask if anyone has more factual info regarding their origins:

- 1992/04/03: Tokyo, Thunder, 38 secs

- 1992/04/16: Melbourne, Cream, 55 secs

- 1992/01/18: Melbourse, Dr. Feelgood, 5:50

- 1992/04/??: Sydney, Live 4 Love, 6:53

- 1992/05/25: Ghent, Daddy Pop, 3:36

Thanks biggrin

APPENDIX: UNSOLVED QUESTIONS FROM PREVIOUS POSTS:0

- 1991 Rock In Rio: Supposedly only 45mn of that show had been aired on I-Sat in Brazil.Except that we have the full show circulating with the I-Sat logo on the full show. Though the latest leak didn't feature it my oldest leak segued from and into the TV channel's programs. Very puzzling, though, is the fact that the film's quality isn't the same all along so I have a theory for what it's worth: only 45mn were aired but the full show leaked and the aired parts had better quality than the leak, so someone edited them together to make it better. Either that or the guys from Uptown were mistaken and the whole thing was aired? ANy info somebody?

*

- 1990_06_02 Rotterdam (1) - 17mn - Someone said earlier that this was a leak, not from TV, so unless someone says other wise I'll consider it a leak.

*

- 1990_06_02 Rotterdam (2) - 8mn - This one is waaay more ambiguous, though a bit long for a TV snippet. Anyone knows?

*

- 1990_06_02 Rotterdam (3) - 2mn - OK so this one is obviously from TV because it's written Purple Rain at the beginning and there's something written in Japanese in the end... Huh? Wait a sec: a snippet from the Rotterdam show was aired... in Japan?! That one beats me. Any info?

*

- 1990_06_16 Paris - 30sec - Obviously a TV snippet from a French channel. Any confirmation?

*

- 1990_06_19 London - 21mn - Looks like a leak to me, it's too long for TV. Any confirmation?

*

- 1990_07_07 Cork (Pro) - 11mn - There's a logo from a TV Channel named Cork TV Multichannel so it's obviously from TV. The lucky bastards got 11 minutes, wow! ANy details regarding the extra broadcast date?

*

- Now a few ?? regarding the La Coruna show, because to my knowledge there was ONE broadcast of that show and oh! looky looky here, now we have THREE versiosn circulating, except all of them have the same duration (give or take a minute) and the same TV logo on the screen, so allow me to ask you a big... WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT THE FUCK????

*

- A somewhat similar question regarding the Tokyo show since we have:

--> Love Or Money version (songs in order)

--> TV version (songs not in order)

and to these 2 recent leaks I'd addthat I used to have

--> a DVD of the show in order but the intro featured a backstage ecene of Prince and the band before starting the show.

--> a recording from French TV (Canal +) which was the show not in order but edited down to one hour (and without the short B&W intro of the "TV version" above).

So what I'd LOOOOVE to know is where each of these 3 versions belong in terms of when and on which country and on which channel the've been broadcast for the first time. + I'm gonna have to compare songs to see if there have been some edits but that'll b a headache for another day

*

- 1988_11_06 Los Angeles - 4mn - most likely from a Californian TV broadcast but can someone confirm???

*

- Lovesexy Dortmund: what are the differences, if any, between the so-called "Japanese" version and the laser disc version? And when was that Japanese version aired in Japan? And on what channel/program.

*

- 1988_08_30 Hamburg Aftershow: was this aired on TV or not? Stillwaiting said he thought only a snippet from it was aired but he wasn't sure so we still don't know.

*

- The Paisley Park SOTT live snippet from December 1987 is NOT from the UK version of the Omnibus doc. Is it from the american "Prince of PP" version or if not, from where?

'Recent leaks'? - they don't look as if they are.

For example, isn't the Sydney footage the NPGMC 2001 download from November?

YES! Thanks, u're correct, I'd TOTALLY forgotten about that NPGMC video!

One down, 4 to go! (and by "rencent" I meant the recent UCI compilations, which probably didn't countain so much totally exclusive material but most of them snippets were new to me at least)

I was about to say that Sexy MF & The Beautiful Ones was aired on danish tv-2, plus a NPG band interview.

But after a minutes thoughts... this was the Act II tour, I believe from the Paris concert? = and, in 1993... not 1992.

I am no expert in hard facts. Silly me for mention this at all. Sorry. wink

I know that my early VHS had a guy speaking in spanish all the way through it and the name of the songs came up, but that doesn't seem to appear on the DVD and there is no spanish naration. So either there was one live broadcast with naration and one without or there was one live broadcast and somebody leaked the source tape from the tv station I guess

Wasn't this just cut from the MTV tour report.... Since the 1993 LA Glam Slam clip of My Name Is Prince from UCI doesn't have the MTV logo or the Guy introing the song with Arrested Development playing the background I would imagine somebodies leaked the stations tapes rather than taped a broadcast..... Also on the LA Glam Slam the left audio channel is soundboard and the right is mic into cammera which I doubt would be broacast with that sound set up
