. I just think that's too funny. First time I'd ever heard of a band carrying the floor around.. I guess when he had a vision, he made it happen. Like what you guys were saying about their clothes.. I'm so glad he played the fashion coordinator! Dressing up like they did really made the shows more fun and exciting to watch.. I wonder if anyone in the band ever commented that they didn't like the clothes? Everybody stop on the 1...GOOD GOD! Uhh!

The Hit 'n Run thing wasn't technically considered a "tour" because the shows were announced one at a time, shortly before each show occured, so I guess people didn't know in advance where he was going to go next. In some cases they would only do one or two shows in a whole month, and then there would be a long gap before they played another show. They would "hit" one city for one show and then "run"... (except Detroit & NY where I think they did 2 shows) unlike the Purple Rain tour where they played 5 nights in one city. Also the Hit 'n Run shows were mostly in smaller venues (theatres) unlike the arenas from the Purple Rain tour. They did not want to do another full U.S. tour so soon after the Purple Rain tour to avoid overexposure and it allowed Prince to do a more relaxed series of shows.
The Europe/Japan shows were an actual tour with an itinerary, shows performed almost every night in bigger venues than the Hit n Run shows.

Wendy said she liked how they looked like Gargoyles at times during the PR era
The stuff over all was sexy and put together. Can't see how they wouldn't like it. Not if you look at how the bands dressed after 1990, I would be ashamed to wear that stuff.
the 1982-1987 look over all I LOVED. The Lovesexy look the band stood out more from Prince and it was very chaotic looking (in a good way) all the words letters and blocky color prints

The Parade ear had possibly Prince's best look, (with SOTT/Lovesexy).
