, and mixed into the main show a few times

It was recorded with Mavis Staples on July 27, 1988 @ Olympic Studio in London

I believe this was the 1st time it was performed live (?)

To think that some kind souls had uploaded EVERY circulating live show by Prince (including non-bootlegged ones, i.e. hundreds of shows) to XXXXXXX.com just 2 or 3 months ago, and that XXXXXXX.com has decided to ban any further Prince bootlegs upload and delete all the existing threads with Prince boots when P started to sue some fansites...

And of course with my crappy Indian connection there was no way for me to get these huge collections, but had they remained online I could have hoped to get' em in a year or 2 while being back in France for the holidays.

yes it's almost like an important online archive of live recordings may of been lost.

it's not as if Prince will ever upload every show he's ever played.

and i doubt anyone will ever bother to upload them in the future.

That was an incredible coming together of people to do that. It all blew apart before I'd even gotten everything that had already been done (and I had quite a bit of it anyway, but was just grabbing as it came so I didn't miss anything just because I "thought I had it already").

Ah well.

I'm sure these new shows are great too. Not that I've heard them.
