lol I know and it cracks me up how excited he is when he tells it. There are a few different videos of him telling the same story and I always feel bad for the other guys in the band because you know they've heard it a million times. lol I think this is pretty good, too: http://www.mtv.com/news/a...ince.jhtml Everybody stop on the 1...GOOD GOD! . Waiting Room was a pretty good track (imo).. don't knock ND, he could have collabed with both. The more I think about a Prince/Dave Grohl-FF collab the more I NEED IT IN MY LIFE. Everybody stop on the 1...GOOD GOD! Uhh!

David Bowie would be amazing as they are both so Versatile. However I do love that story of Prince and Michael Jackson on the recording of Bad. Where they both were in a room and just glared at each other and didnt speak. I love that. The music world is missing that now i think.

i guess they both were waiting to see if who should make the first "move"

i just love the stubboness from the pair of them. They both respected eachother but just moved in different circles. I loved that fact. Nowadays its all just nicey nice and no rivalry. I remember years ago when Oasis were hating Blur etc. That was exciting. Now its just dull again. I think a bit of good rivalry is good for music. Makes people work harder.
I am pleased that MJ and Prince did not collaborate i dont think it would have worked. They both want different things out of it.

I don't think Prince is much of a collaborator, however, off the top of my head the one person I'd love to hear him work with would be James Murphy .

where as you see David Bowie is the master of being a collaborator.

Watched Bonnie Raitt and Mavis Staples on Austin City Limits last night. They did solo sets and then Bonnie joined Mavis at the end for several songs. It was so cool seeing these two together onstage. It would have been incredible to see Prince join them. I would like to hear he and Bonnie do something, the timing might be better now than it was in the 80s. And I'd like to hear more music with Mavis, they did some great stuff together that helped Prince mature in many ways. "So fierce U look 2night, the brightest star pales 2 Ur sex..."

John Grant, David Bowie, Jamiroquai, Dave Grohl... they'd all be great. I think collaborations with Beck or Goldfrapp would be interesting too. Hundalasiliah!

D'angelo Madonna, again. Kylie. Robbie Williams. David Bowie. Beyoncé. Paul McCartney. Foo Fighters. Coldplay. Wendy & Lisa or The Revolution once more. Bon Iver. Ryuichi Sakamoto. The B52's. Finishing an unheard Michael Jackson song. Same for a John Lennon/Yoko Ono collaboration. SMe for a Freddy Mercury track, with Queen. Some living legend jazz musicians, all together in one song. Bork. Sigur Ros. The Rolling Stones. Members of Abba even.. Blur. Imagine a whole album with collaborations of all these artists w Prince. It could boost everyone's career and would be a historic document in time. A kind of point where pop music ends it's first 65/70 years of all styles are being summed up for future generations. My list could be longer. "The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves. And wiser people so full of doubts" (Bertrand Russell 1872-1972)

I always wanted him to do a duet with Sade, especially the cover she did with "Still In Love With You." [Edited 4/1/14 17:45pm]

This is gonna sound batshit crazy but I've honestly always wanted to hear a Prince collaboration with Tom Waits. I think that would be sick!
