Best sounding albums I am currently re discovering old CDs with my new Cambridge Audioi DAC and some other equipment. I have heard faintly new background vocals in Adore and rhythm guitar playing (more clear) in Erotic City. I put TTd's Vibrator on and was blown away by the sound. Any other suggestions? Overall, I find Prince's music not sounding too good. Having said that, The Truth did sound very good.

We need to have the 1980s albums re-mastered. Prince 4Ever.

I've never had a big problem with the sound quality. The current state of the CDs is what a lot of people grew up on. For a majority of my life, used CDs were the only Prince I knew. Personally, I've come to actually like the poorly-aged sound, it makes the songs sound old and important. Remasters would be cool, but I don't need them.

I listened to all those early Prince albums on cassette. So, basically, everything since sounds great to me.

I have to say that TTD'S Vibrator does sound amazing through any system, it is probably the best sounding album I have found. I do think that with modern music often being heard through MP3's it can sometimes just make an amazing difference to listen to a good quality CD through headphones.
