The Great Gatsby - Fallinlove2nite So I finally watched this movie and how much you want yo bet fallinlove was written for this movie? I imagine many of the other "prince" songs may have been as well Oh... And Jay Z's music in this movie sucked... Did not fit at all Dance... Let me see you dance | |

Yeah I guess I can kinda see that. Not sure that this would fit much better than the Jay Z stuff though. Baz Luhrmann's usual trick of appropriating music from the modern era to make the period more relatable didn't work nearly as well in Gatsby IMO. Was Prince supposed to do the whole soundtrack or just one song? Could have been interesting to see what he came up with. Regardless, the Lana Del Ray song was much better than Fallinlove2nite, thank god that was in there instead Heavenly wine and roses seems to whisper to me when you smile...

.I was thinking maybe Breakdown would have been for that soundtrack, too bad it never happened after much advertising. Somewhat similar artwork

I think a person from his current horn section already commented that the horns were recorded just a few months ago. If it's Hannah's husband that's done the synths and the beat then it can't be that old. | |
