In order to be effective, this thread should list all released songs since the 20TEN album, otherwise people will judge what they heard on a bootleg (The Breakdown, 2Y2D etc.).

Unless that is not the purpose of the thread.

1. Groovy Potential. This is Prince when he doesn't try to sound like a 20-year-old wannabe pimp. A very mature, contemporary, organic sounding song.
2. Pretzlbodylogic. Didn't like it at first, but at least this song comes very close to a catchy, LoveSexy-like song that really feels like it belongs on a well thought through album with Prince's new talented band: 3rdEyeGirl.
3. FunkNRoll. I am kind of disappointed by the lyrics and the live version, but the studio version is very polished.
4. Same Page, Different Book.
5. R'nR Love Affair. I like this for the same reasons as Groovy Potential, although I am not too fond of the synth sound in the chorus and the video.

This is not that hard. Everything he's written for Liv and Andy is better than his stuff he's released since 20Ten.

I think there is some decent music being created. Prince just can't seem to put a groove or a riff that the masses can get excited about.

I always ask myself if screwdriver or fix ure life up was on Chaos and disorder would that make the songs gel more? Sometimes music placement makes songs work better (see Parade album).

The rest are very forgettable, but none are really bad. Fixurlife up is overrated.

Extraloveable Reloaded is the only thing I've listened to more than once since 20Ten. Everything else just feels so safe and watered down.
